Blu-Ray: Yay or Nay?

Unless you've been living in a cave for the past couple of years you must have been whitness to the "the future is here" adverts for Blu-Ray disc. Speaking for myself on this one they rather annoyed me as they are everywhere! Recently then, when buying myself a new laptop, i was posed with the question do i get a Blu-Ray drive or not? In the end i did and in and i am so glad i did. This pains me a lot as the adverts are so repetetive and dire and i am far too stubborn for my own good! But yes, i am glad. The picture is immense as is the sound, this however we've all heard before. The thing i like most about the "powers of Blu-Ray" is actually within the DVD upscaling features, making all my DVD's looking truly incredible it really makes you see how bad the quality before actually was. As a reccomendation i would say if you have the assets available go for it but if you are umming and erring in the finances i'd probly say wait it out a little longer as the prices are constantly falling!
