Game roundup

Long time no speak! This has been mainly due to a lack ofanything interesting to blog about so i thought silence was better than innane ramblings! Ive been playing two games recently or ive played one and started the other this morning!

First up is Bayonetta, good lord is this a game. Gripping (if immensly wierd) story combined with inch perfect action and a camera that, for once in an action game, does what its supposed to do without any faults. This game is also one hell of a challenge even on normal mode its difficult to best let alone anything higher! It is definately a case of knowing that it is eating up your free time by the bucketload but you just dont care because it is constant fun.

Number 2 then is another catch up title. Everyone has been clamouring about it for agood few years now and the arguments have begun again with its newly released sequil. Yes im talking about Mass Effect. Ive only been playing it for a couple of hours so far but am loving it. It may not have an amazing combat system and the action may be infrequent but so far it feels like the latest blockbuster movie, except i get to be director. As i have already said im 2 hours in but the wealth of options and choices i have so far made is phenominal! This is shaping up to be an epic game and i can wait to complete it then buy, not rent, its successor.

Epic times!

Just did a count up of my film collection and it currently stands at 199 films over the various platforms. So now i have a decision to make. What film is going tto make it up to the big 200?? any suggestions? i want it to be an epic or a really top quality film. As for platform im in two minds, Blu-ray is so impressive it would be nice for it to be the 200th but i mainly own films on DVD and they are what started the trend for me. I guess ive got some thinking to do!!

Xmen Origins Wolverine: the game

Good lord. Before you contine reading i would like to humbly appologise as i am, to say the least, fuming. This game is good. Really good. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it through, yes i have had one or two arguments with it mainly due to frustrating timing puzzles. However it has remained at a constant high level. Untill today where i met the final boss and everything has crumbled...
This is why:
1) The first couple of stages against deadpool are far too easy, ive got through them in under two minutes.
2) The final stage is, excuse my language, a piss take. He fires lasers from his eyes which you lunge, roll etc to avoid while the beam creates a hole for added challenge. Unfortunately everytime i dodge a beam i get a minor judder and am then dragged into the hole, to my death, and have to start the fight from the beginning... NOT FUN! I have tried over and over but the same thing happens.
I rekon ill give it a few more trys but if not, back to the shop you go!!
I apologise again,

Im behind the times, arnt I?

Ok im not the first person to talk about a lot of things and so heres a short blog on a couple of things ive just caught up with!
First up is Avatar, not much to say other than the visuals being utterly amazing its really making me think twice about the whole 3D thing. At first i thought it was just another clever gimic but after Avatar i am forced into seeing the wonders of it. Unfortunately the story was a bit lack luster but it wasnt terrible and together made for an excellent experience.
Number two of my catch up is Misfits, Ive just watched the first two episodes on 4OD and im loving it!! Superpowers + Skins makes a great combo for a show that, especially for those of a geekier disposition, is a joy to watch.
I do have to say though, as my DVD collection increases i hope you wont mind me saying the odd bit about any new ones i aquire wether they are old or new!
