Unfortunately the doubters were right, Robert Bowling (IW's community manager) said on Xbox's Major Nelson's podcast that the map pack would contain five maps: 3 brand new ones of varying sizes (credit is due here from what he was saying these maps sound like corkers) and 2 imports from CoD4; these being crash (the one with the downed helecopter and the very high building) and Overgrown (the very green one with a dissused petrol station). So far i am loving the sound of the pack, 3 brilliently sounding new packs, crash, which is one of my CoD4 favourites, and overgrown, not one of my top maps but i dont mind it. All of these bundled together sound brill I'd happily spend the 800ms points that the CoD4 map pack cost.....
Oh Dear! This is where Mr Bowling drops the nuke. 1200Ms points for the pack, in perspective thats around £10-15 or $15-20, or the price of Battlefield: 1943. In other words: stupidly extortionate. When you look at map packs from other games youll get 5 for free, ones you do have to pay for are around 800msp. Where IW and Activision got their 1200msp idea from i have no idea!
Lets just hope they have something else hidden in this pack thatll be announced to make it worth the price!
